ANTOLÍNEZ, Anna

Anna Antolínez (based in Andorra for decades) is a prominent visual artist and creator, recognized for her work focused on abstraction, the use of printmaking techniques, and handcrafted jewelry. She began her journey in visual creation as a self-taught hobby around the age of 30, initially starting in figurative art. Later, she expanded her technical training to delve into abstraction, a style through which she expresses being able to capture and explore her most intimate emotions. She often employs printmaking procedures, but shuns serial print runs to focus on monotones/monotypes. She uses matrices made from recycled materials and environmentally friendly inks, turning each creation into a unique and unrepeatable piece. Associated with artistic collectives in the country such as the La Xarranca association, her work has been part of numerous group and solo exhibitions (such as exhibitions centered on the harmony of elements and thematic shows around color). Alongside her artistic work, she has actively collaborated on charitable initiatives in the Principality, notably solidarity exhibitions of her unique pieces and handcrafted jewelry collections aimed at raising funds for entities such as the Andorran Association Against Cancer (ASSAC).
