CASAS ANFRUNS, Llorenç

Born in Sant Julià de Cerdanyola, Barcelona, in 1948. He studied Design, Architecture, and Fine Arts. Master Rafael de Soto was the driving force behind his artistic career. In 1968 he settled in Ibiza, and in 1978 he resided temporarily in Paris and later on the Costa Brava. Since 1990, driven by his special interest in architecture, he returned almost exclusively to the urban themes he had already begun during his time in Paris. However, the year 1992 marked a before and after in his career. It was the year of the Barcelona Olympic Games, an event that led him to delve deeply into the Catalan capital, and especially into the work of an architect he had always admired, Antoni Gaudí. This particular pictorial vision of Gaudí is present in each of the many exhibitions held from the 1990s to the present day.
