VIDAL TORRENS, Manel

Born in La Pobla de Claramunt, Barcelona, in 1953. A self-taught artist dedicated body and soul to the pursuit of formal perfection. His life-sized bronze works can be found distributed across Spain, France, Germany, Belgium, China, and Japan. Some of his best-known public works include: La Noia del Balcó (Paper de Música Auditorium, Capellades) and the life-sized sculptures in the pantheon of Poet Antoni Massanell (Vilafranca del Penedès), L'Espera (Munich Art Foundation), Encisadora (Olympic Swimming Pool, Montpellier), Tan sols tu (Plaça de les Pubilles, Escaldes-Engordany, Andorra), or the three life-sized sculptures at the Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia (Terrassa).
