MOSCA, Vincenzo (VIEMME)

Born in Amantea, Calabria (Italy), in 1960 and found dead in the same city on June 28, 2014, hanging from a tree. This Italian, trained in Florence and based for 20 years in Catalonia, defined his work as "intimate, instinctive, and very visceral." An architect and designer specialized at the Royal Academy in London, thanks to an extraordinary talent he was able to enter the fashion world in Florence, creating collections for the most popular internationally famous designers and presenting his work at Palazzo Pitti. As a visual artist, he developed a very personal style that he defined as "intimate, instinctive, and very visceral." His pictorial production in oil and acrylic (always rejecting mixed media) was heavily inspired by music and his passion for the sinuous shapes of the Spanish guitar, intertwining the rigorous geometry of his architectural training with emotional rawness.
