VALLS, Pau
Born in Barcelona in 1935. He learned drawing and painting at the Valls Academy alongside his father, the prestigious Nolasc Valls. He studied at the Massana School and later at the Sant Jordi Higher School of Fine Arts in Barcelona. In 1977 he held his first exhibition in Barcelona and since then has never stopped exhibiting, consolidating himself as a master who, through his oil paintings, expresses the poetic backdrop that guides and leads his brushes. In 1983 he exhibited for the first time in Paris and the following year he joined the Société Internationale d'Art Figuratif (SIAF) based in Paris, regularly showcasing his works in France, Germany, and the USA ever since. In 1986 he exhibited in Japan (Tokyo and Osaka), where he still exhibits regularly today. His works can be found in private collections in Spain, Belgium, Cuba, France, Great Britain, Mexico, Venezuela, Switzerland, Andorra, Italy, and Japan.
